1. What is your child to staff ratio?
Infants - 1:4 • Toddlers & 2’s - 1:7 • Preschool - 1:10 • SA/Kind. - 1:15 2. Do you serve meals or do we pack a lunch? Kids Come 1st participates in the CACFP program that is regulated by the Minnesota Department of Education, Division of Food and Nutrition Services. With the help of this program we are able to provide breakfast, lunch and snack, therefore we ask that no outside food be brought into the center unless medically necessary. USDA Nondiscrimination Statement 3. Are your teachers qualified? All our staff meets the state requirements for each position. 4. Are background checks completed on each staff member? Yes. A background study is completed on the 1st day of employment if not before. 5. Are you a licensed facility? Yes. We are licensed by the state of Minnesota. 6. Do the children play outside? Yes. We do go outside twice a day weather permitting. We do go out in the winter so we require snowpants, boots, hats and mittens for all the children. 7. Do you allow varied contracts? Yes. We allow varied contracts as long as we have a schedule at the beginning of each week. 8. What are your hours of operation? 6am - 6pm, Monday - Friday. We do close at 4pm when Rochester Public Schools close early or close for the day for snow. We are closed for the 6 major Holidays listed in our parent packet. 9. When is payment due? Weekly tuition is due by 6pm on Wednesday to avoid a late fee. 10. Do you take drop in’s? Our North location is a drop in center and once a child is registered you can use the facility when needed; planned or unplanned. The North location telephone number is 507-281-8183. 11.
